Healthy Meals by Local Chefs
ChefCentury Nutritional Parameters
The nutritional philosophy behind our healthy meals is pretty simple: we believe you can eat well and eat healthy. In other words, you do not have to sacrifice enjoying your food to conform to Hippocrates’ famous dictum, “Let food be thy medicine, and medicine thy food.”
To help your nutrition play the key role that it needs to maintain a fat-burning metabolism and robust immune function we focus on the right balance of protein, fats and carbohydrates as well as a variety of cuisines and flavor profiles because we believe that boredom is the enemy of healthy eating habits.
All-natural proteins (no hormones or antibiotics), healthy fats such as extra virgin olive oil and coconut oil, and carbohydrates from vegetables and whole grains are the backbone of our menu planning. We do not offer a diet based on what you can’t eat, but we do shy away from processed foods, refined carbohydrates and of course any added sugars other than a touch of organic agave nectar or pure maple syrup if something like your salad dressing could use just a hint of sweet.
